My Role
The key aim was to engage with the local community. We set up a scarecrow making competition for the local residents, school and businesses to enter, with residents voting for their favourite scarecrows. Local walks were organised for residents to view all the scarecrows and voting slips and box placed at The Farmstead Cafe. The festival itself was styled as a village fete with food and drink stalls, petting zoo, performances from the local dance group and the winners announced for the scarecrow competition.
Starting with a moodboard, I gathered together a look and feel for the key stakeholders to sign off. Keeping with the core brand colours, I also added an orange to give the event it's own identity. New illustrations where in keeping with the current hand drawn, friendly feel. A range of design collateral was required from mail drop invitation flyers, range of social media posts, posters, voting box and voting signs.
